Guarnaschelli has since been one of the judges on the show and in 2011 competed in The Next Iron Chef season four, where she finished third-place finisher. She competed and lost in one episode of Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. Her position as sous-chef was appoint by Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the fourth series on The Next Iron Chef. She was the host of Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008. There, she instructs a small class of students on how to recreate classic dishes.
